Steve Buscemi Joins FX's Far Cry Anthology Series in Mystery Role
Steve Buscemi has been confirmed to join the cast of FX's upcoming Far Cry TV series, according to an official press release from the network. He joins previously announced cast members Lizzie Caplan and Rob Mac, the latter of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fame, who is also producing the show. Details on Buscemi's character remain under wraps, though the Far Cry franchise is well known for its memorable villains. Showrunner Noah Hawley, the creative mind behind Fargo and Alien: Earth, has described the series as a "big action show" with an "irreverent, ambitious" tone aimed at "exploring the nature of humanity through a complex and chaotic lens." Like the games, the show will be structured as an anthology, with each season featuring a new cast, setting, and story. It will not adapt any specific game from the franchise. When it does arrive, the series will stream on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. Production has not yet begun, with a release potentially coming in late 2027 or early 2028.
