Game Adaptations & Media Crossovers: TMNT, Halo, Avatar, X-Men, and More
It's a banner week for fans of games, comics, and animated properties crossing over into new media. Kicking things off in tabletop territory, Mantic Games and Halo Studios have announced *Halo: Campaign Evolved – The Board Game*, a 1–2 player co-op experience set to launch later in 2026. Meanwhile, fans of the Avatar universe won't have long to wait either — *Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game* is just a month away and is already generating buzz as potentially the best Avatar game in years. On the stage front, *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Live on Stage!* is set to shell-shock North American theaters in 2027, evoking memories of the beloved "Coming Out of Their Shells" tour of the early '90s. The crossover frenzy doesn't stop there. Lara Croft is celebrating her 30th anniversary with a head-turning team-up: the Tomb Raider icon is crossing into Hasbro's G.I. Joe action figure line in what is one of the more unexpected licensing collaborations in recent memory. Over in Marvel's animated corner, *X-Men '97* Season 2 has officially revealed its release schedule and episode titles, with a three-episode premiere kicking things off — and a new trailer is already fueling wild theories about a fan-favorite hero who died in Season 1 making a comeback. Rounding out the Marvel news, Tom Holland has shed light on *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*'s fresh suit redesign, describing it as a deliberate homage to both Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's iterations of the web-slinger — a "Spider-Child of all three costumes," as Holland himself put it.
