Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 Revealed with Trailer & Autumn Release Window

Netflix has finally dropped the first official trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2, and it's every bit as brutal and visually stunning as fans of the original could hope for. The trailer offers a first proper look at a brand-new crew of tech-infused edgerunners navigating the neon-drenched chaos of Night City, complete with mantis blades, chrome-heavy action, and the kind of bloodthirsty energy that made the first season an instant classic. Alongside the trailer, Netflix confirmed the show is targeting an autumn 2026 release window.

The new season introduces a fresh cast of characters, with details already emerging about two key figures: "Weak Kingsley," whose name belies what appears to be a revenge-driven arc, and a seasoned older edgerunner described as being "at the top of his game." The season's lead, Roman, has also drawn attention — and a fair amount of internet concern — for what Eurogamer describes as "perhaps the biggest death-flag of all time," a tongue-in-cheek nod to how brutally the original series treated its protagonists. If Season 1 taught us anything, attachment to these characters comes at a cost.
